Forthcoming: Mummy's favorite - Karela

When i was a small kid, i used to eat only aloo! However once i got a taste of stuffed karela that my mon used to make, it became my favorite. So unlikely right? Karela is the least plausible veggie anyone would like but you have to taste my mummy's stuffed karela to be able to love it!
I will be posting the ingredients and procedure v.soon.

Tomato Chutney

Ingredients:
Tomatoes - 2 large
Tamarind - 1 tsp
Green Coriander Leaves - few
Haldi - 1 pinch
Salt - 1 tsp or to taste

Seasoning:
Red Chillies - 5
Urad Daal - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Hing - 1 pinch
Oil - 1 tbsp
Green Chillies - 5 or to taste

Process:
Heat oil in a pan. Add seasoning. When mustard splatters, add hing and remove from heat. Separately, heat oil in a pan and add cut tomatoes. Then add haldi and salt. Cook for 5 mins by covering it. Let it cool. Add seasoning, tamarind, coriander leaves, and salt. Grind.

And its ready to eat!!

Allam Pachadi (Ginger Chutney)

Ingredients:
Ginger - 2 inches
Tamarind Paste- 3 heaped tsp
Jaggery / Sugar - 3 heaped tsp
Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
Haldi - 1 pinch

For Seasoning:
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Red Chillies - 6
Urad Daal - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Methi seeds - 1 tsp
Hing - 1 pinch

Process:
Heat Oil. Add seasoning. When Mustard seeds start to splatter, add hing. Let the seasoning cool down. Then to the seasoning, add raw ginger, tamarind, jaggery, salt, haldi and a little water. Grind.

And the mouthewatering chutney is ready!!!

Mummy's tip: This chutney goes well with dosa, idli, rice, or any snack.
